VICTORIA—Premier David Eby called out B.C. Conservative Health Critic Anna Kindy during today’s question period for speaking at a panel event alongside a doctor who has promoted anti-vaccine conspiracy theories and whose medical licence was cancelled by the Alberta College of Physicians.

The panel was hosted by the far-right group We Unify and featured Kindy speaking alongside William Makis, who:

• Posted an article alleging “Yale Scientists Confirm Covid ‘Vaccines’ Cause VAIDS.”

• Claimed “COVID-19 vaccines are neither safe, nor effective” and “has an increased lifetime risk of CANCER.”

• Continues to improperly call himself a doctor despite losing his medical licence, which was reinforced by the Alberta College of Physicians on January 23rd.

Eby also called out Kindy for her past anti-vaccine comments. Kindy clarified that she does support the measles vaccine but did not take the opportunity to affirm her support for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Kindy has criticized the COVID-19 vaccine and has received disciplinary letters from BC’s College of Physicians regarding misinformation about the vaccine.
