RICHMOND– BC NDP MLA Kelly Greene says capital project grants for a local non-profit organization will support upgrades to visitor experience that will make the Cannery more welcoming and accessible in Richmond.
“It’s important that we keep community and cultural spaces welcoming and accessible for everyone,” says Kelly Greene, MLA for Richmond-Steveston. “I look forward to seeing this funding support engaging experiences at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery while helping preserve and share the rich history of our coastal community.”
Across B.C., 39 non-profit organizations are receiving a total of $5.1 million for capital projects through the Community Gaming Grants program.
In total, more that $138 million will be distributed through all streams of the Community Gaming Grant program for the 2025/26, helping to ensure funding reaches organizations that build connected, inclusive and resilient communities.
