DELTA – BC NDP MLA Ravi Kahlon says capital project grants for a local non-profit organization will support raising and training the next generation of service dogs for British Columbians.

“Service dogs are essential partners for a lot of British Columbians living with disabilities,” said Ravi Kahlon, MLA for Delta North. “I’m so excited that this funding is supporting a new Breeding and Training Centre with state-of-the-art resources to raise the next generation of service dogs.”

British Columbia Guide Dog Services has received $243,057 for their new Breeding and Training Centre of Excellence that will help raise healthier puppies, enhance puppy development, and support community programming.

Across B.C., 39 non-profit organizations are receiving a total of $5.1 million for capital projects through the Community Gaming Grants program.

In total, more that $138 million will be distributed through all streams of the Community Gaming Grant program for the 2025/26, helping to ensure funding reaches organizations that build connected, inclusive and resilient communities.
