Kevin Falcon continues to attack BC NDP for eliminating Port Mann tolls

BC Liberal Leader Kevin Falcon has again criticized Premier John Horgan’s decision to remove tolls from the Port Mann bridge.

In legislature debate today, Falcon mocked Horgan for removing tolls.

Removing tolls has saved drivers $1,500 every year and studies have shown that removing tolls on the Port Mann and Golden Ears eased congestion on non-tolled crossings, including the Pattullo Bridge.

Falcon implemented these tolls when he was Transportation Minister and over the last 18 months, he has consistently voiced his support for tolling.

BC NDP MLA Garry Begg:

“I’m extremely disappointed to see Kevin Falcon continue to attack our BC NDP government for taking tolls off the Port Mann Bridge. If Kevin Falcon thinks people were better off with tolls, he’s clearly not talking to people in Surrey. He’s working for the wealthy and well-connected and would make life harder and more expensive for everyone else – just like he did before.”
