Finding inspiration in his predecessor’s strategy of choosing event venues from a list of elitist cliches, BC Liberal Leader Kevin Falcon is holding his first fundraiser at the exclusive Point Grey Golf and Country Club.

Early in his leadership tenure, Andrew Wilkinson visited the West Vancouver Yacht Club, where he attacked the speculation tax. Although some observers criticised Wilkinson’s approach as comically elitist and out-of-touch, Falcon is sticking with the plan.

He’s set to join Wilkinson himself at a fundraiser at the Point Grey Golf and Country Club, where memberships run upwards of $60,000 – not including the $500 monthly dues.

While this may appear like one, this is not an April Fool’s joke
