Trust fund for little girl hurt by fatal domestic violence in Vancouver’s east end can now take donations made at all credit union
VANCOUVER – The Kingsway Child’s Fund, the trust fund set up to help the young girl who both lost her grandmother and was hospitalized after an incident of fatal domestic violence in Vancouver’s east end, can now take donations made at any credit union in British Columbia, says Adrian Dix, New Democrat leader and MLA for Vancouver-Kingsway.
“British Columbians can now make donations to the ‘Kingsway Child’s Fund’ at any credit union in the province,” explained Dix, who established the trust fund earlier this week at the Community Savings Credit Union (CSCU).
An arrangement has been finalized between all B.C. credit unions for donations to be transferred to the Kingsway Child’s Fund.
Dix also thanked people who have already donated.
“After a fatal act of domestic violence left this little girl facing great loss and injury, both my constituents and people across this city have expressed a shared concern for her future wellbeing.”
People who want to donate can drop off a donation at their local credit union. For more information, they can also call the Community Savings Credit Union toll free at 1-888-963-2000.
