DELTA– New Democrat MLA Ravi Kahlon says people in Delta will benefit as local organizations receive grants to support music, theatre, and arts programs.
“When we support arts and culture, we’re investing in the stories, skills, and spaces that make our communities feel like home,” says Ravi Kahlon, MLA for Delta North. “This funding helps make that possible.”
In Delta, nine organizations are receiving Community Gaming Grants, including:
· Delta Community Music School Society, $10,000
· Delta Choral Society, $13,000
· Mandala Arts and Culture Society, $11,200
Across B.C., 771 not-for-profit organizations received more than $16.6 million to support programs, services and activities related to music, theatre and dance, as well as literary and visual arts.
Program funds are provided from general revenues via provincial commercial gambling revenue in partnership with the B.C. Lottery Corporation.
