DELTA – New Democrat MLA Ravi Kahlon is welcoming $946,900 to benefit 30 sports, arts, and culture organizations in Delta.
“People in our community adapted quickly to the sports and arts programming changes to keep one another safe,” said Kahlon, MLA for Delta North. “I’m glad our government is providing funding so that local organizations will have the support they need when people are able to participate again, safely.”
Funding is being provided through the Community Gaming Grants program and is benefitting five arts and culture organizations and 25 community sports organizations in Delta.

The Community Gaming Grants program is providing more than $27.3 million for more than 800 not-for-profit sport organizations around the province. These groups organize a variety of activities, such as skiing, swimming, soccer, hockey, paddling and Special Olympics, to name a few.
More than 700 not-for-profit arts organizations are receiving approximately $18.1 million in Community Gaming Grants to deliver arts and cultural programs in communities provincewide. People can participate in performing arts, literature and media arts programs, as well as Indigenous and cultural events, and other related activities through these community-based organizations.
