LANTZVILLE – New Democrat MLA Adam Walker is welcoming joint funding for drinking water infrastructure improvements in Lantzville.
“Reliable access to clean drinking water is key to keeping people in our community healthy,” said Adam Walker, MLA for Parksville-Qualicum. “That’s why we’re working alongside the federal government to extend drinking water services to more households, including in Lantzville, so people have safe, plentiful water for years to come.”
The District of Lantzville is receiving $4,027,618 from the provincial government to extend drinking water service to an area currently replying on private wells.
This project is part of a joint investment of more than $16.1 million from the federal and provincial governments to support four water infrastructure projects across B.C. By investing in these projects, the Province and Government of Canada are building resilient communities, and improving the lives of people in B.C.
