NDP seeks joint action to save coast guard services

On Sunday, New Democrat leader Adrian Dix visited the Kitsilano Coast Guard Station and spoke to media about concerns with cuts to coast guard services.

Dix also approached Premier Christy Clark about forming a united effort to reverse the federal cuts to critical bc coast guard services, including the closure of the kitsilano coast guard station. The united effort would include passing a joint resolution, forming a special legislative committee to evaluate fully the impact of the cuts on business, safety and first responders.

The letter to Premier Clark can be seen here.
