Ravi Kahlon asks Christy Clark why she has failed B.C. seniors in care

VICTORIA – The New Democrat MLA for Delta North, Ravi Kahlon, used his first question in Question Period Tuesday to ask Christy Clark to stop playing political games, so a New Democrat government can fix the seniors’ care problems she created.

In North Delta, the B.C. Liberals are failing our seniors,” said Kahlon in the legislature Tuesday.

Kahlon told the story of a senior citizen named John Eddie Mohoney, who’s staying at the Northcrest Care Centre.

“His family brought me heartbreaking photos of their grandfather. He had been left out in the sun, resulting in sunburns that left significant scars all over his body. The staff there are trying their hardest to care for residents like John Eddie Mohoney, but this government simply is not helping,” Kahlon said.

Kahlon asked the premier to stop the political games, delays and distraction and call a confidence motion in the legislature so the new John Horgan government can give seniors, like Mr. Mohoney, the support they deserve.

Christy Clark didn’t answer.
