Surrey– New Democrat leader Adrian Dix issued the following statement on the passing of former MLA and B.C. tourism minister Bill Reid

“The New Democrat caucus is sad to learn of the passing of Mr. Reid. He made an invaluable contribution to both the community of Surrey and the province as a whole.

“As tourism minister, Bill helped put B.C. on the map during Expo 86. He was equally passionate and committed to promoting the communities of Surrey, White Rock and Cloverdale, both as an MLA and outside of public office/
