VICTORIA – New Democrat leader John Horgan and multiculturalism critic Bruce Ralston issued the following statement on the annual occasion of Yom Kippur on behalf of the B.C. New Democrat Caucus:

“As the Jewish community observes Yom Kippur in British Columbia, throughout Canada and around the world, we wish those who observe the Day of Atonement an easy fast. We recognize that Yom Kippur  one of the holiest days and most important days in the Jewish calendar.

“We respect and acknowledge Yom Kippur as a time for reflection, repentance and renewal and on behalf of the B.C. New Democrat Caucus we wish everyone – G’mar Chatimah Tova.”
