MLA Rachna Singh to co-host Covid-19 Virtual Townhall on Monday April 20

SURREY – BC NDP MLA Rachna Singh will be co-hosting a virtual COVID-19 Regional Townhall on Monday April 20 at 7:15 pm, to answer questions about government, community, and health authority responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We recognize people in our communities have questions and want to stay up to date on information related to COVID-19,” said Rachna Singh, MLA for Surrey-Green Timbers. “These town halls are another way to help people get the answers they need from the health experts who have been leading the response in Surrey, and throughout the Fraser Health region.”

MLAs will bring questions from the public for public health experts from the Fraser Health Authority to answer during the hour-long event. The regional town halls are non-partisan and have been organized collaboratively by the BC NDP government, the BC Liberals, and the BC Greens.

Monday’s event will allow people to hear directly from health experts who are leading the COVID-19 response in Surrey.

MLA Singh will be joined by Dr. Victoria Lee, CEO for Fraser Health, Dr. Martin Lavoie, Medical Health Officer, and John Martin, BC Liberal MLA for Chilliwack.

The virtual town hall will be live-streamed on the BC Government Facebook page. Questions will be collected in advance and live during the session.
