About Stephanie
Stephanie Higginson was first elected as the MLA for Ladysmith-Oceanside in 2024.
Stephanie was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Primary Care Access in November 2025. She previously served as Government Caucus Chair.
Before being elected to the legislature, Stephanie was twice elected to the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Board of Education and served as the past president of the BC School Trustees’ Association. Stephanie is also a former secondary school teacher with an MA in Educational Studies from UBC.
Stephanie and her husband live on a small farm in Cedar with their two children.
