VICTORIA – Today John Horgan, Leader of the B.C. New Democrats, updated the Official Opposition shadow cabinet.
“People deserve better than they are getting from this government. We are committed to providing leadership that works for people, not just the powerful,” said Horgan.
“As we enter the fall legislative session, I have taken the opportunity to make some small changes and add new roles on Softwood Lumber Agreement, Immigration and Temporary Foreign Workers,” said Horgan. “Christy Clark has shown she will sell us off with bad deals. As B.C. renegotiates on softwood lumber or deals with matters such as immigration, we will speak up for everyday families and for fairness for new Canadians.”
Horgan said Bruce Ralston will be the spokesperson for the new Softwood Lumber Agreement portfolio, and Mable Elmore will be the spokesperson for the new Immigration and Temporary Foreign Workers role.
The updated shadow cabinet is detailed in the attached document.
